Paramount and Comcast have extended their partnership, ensuring continued access to Paramount's linear and streaming content for Xfinity subscribers.
Paramount and Comcast announced the renewal of their comprehensive distribution agreements on Tuesday, aiming to continue delivering Paramount 's range of broadcast, entertainment, news, and sports brands across Xfinity platforms. The multi-year deals guarantee the carriage of Paramount 's networks, including CBS, BET, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, Paramount Network, and more.
Comcast subscribers will also maintain access to Paramount's streaming services, such as Paramount+, Pluto TV, and BET+. Furthermore, as part of the agreement, Comcast has the right to offer Paramount+ with Showtime to eligible Xfinity customers. Ray Hopkins, president of Paramount Distribution, expressed his satisfaction with the renewed and expanded partnership with Comcast, emphasizing that this deal allows Paramount's diverse portfolio of popular brands and premium programming to reach and entertain audiences. John Dixon, senior vice president of entertainment at Comcast Cable, echoed the sentiment, highlighting the value of Paramount Global as a partner and the company's commitment to providing Xfinity customers with access to both traditional and streaming content across their leading entertainment platforms. Dixon also emphasized the agreement's ability to offer customers greater choice and flexibility in their viewing habits
