A Queensland ambulance has rolled in a major crash near Bundaberg while responding to an earlier accident. The ambulance was travelling with lights and siren Rosedale Rd, Meadowvale when it collided with another vehicle emerging from Mercers Rd about 6.20pm on Thursday. The ambulance rolled several times, injuring the two paramedics who were both taken to Bundaberg Base Hospital in a stable condition.
Two people in the other vehicle received only minor injuries and were taken to hospital as a precaution. “It just shows the importance of always being on the lookout for emergency vehicles when they are responding to incidents, hence why we have our lights and sirens on, and provide us with the right of way when required,” Kelly said. “It appears very lucky that we’ve come out of this without a fatality tonight,” highway patrol acting Sergeant Gordon Hard told 7NEWS.
