After an opening ceremony at the Liberty Bell in front of Grand Prairie City Hall, a parade of community groups, students and officials will proceed along Main Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, ending at David Daniels Elementary. A program at Dalworth Recreation Center will begin at 11:45 a.m., and there will be free hot dogs and T-shirt giveaways while supplies last.
Jan. 17 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Liberty Bell, 317 College St., and Dalworth Recreation Center, 2012 Spikes St., Free.
