The Luminor BiTempo, limited to 212 pieces, celebrates the Big Apple with Italian flair
Panerai is in a New York state of mind. Following the June opening of its flagship boutique, Casa Panerai, on Madison Avenue in Manhattan, the brand has unveiled a limited-edition 44mm Luminor BiTempo New York Edition—PAM01467, exclusive to its largest boutique in the world.
The name BiTempo refers to the watch’s GMT complication, which displays a second time zone with a dedicated GMT hand in tone-on-tone gray to match the shades of the titanium DLC case. DLC, or diamondlike carbon, is a specific coating applied to the titanium to impart the design’s sleek monochromatic look as well as to endow it with extreme hardness and durability.
The special edition is equipped with the automatic P9010/GMT caliber, delivering a three-day power reserve with two barrels and an Incabloc anti-shock device. It’s fitted with a gray strap made of recycled PET plastic in keeping with the brand’s mission to reduce environmental impact. Of the strap’s total weight of 11.5 grams, 7.8 grams is made of recycled materials coming from post-consumer waste.
