Despite an early report that bull horns had stabbed two men, officials say thousands of thrill-seekers avoided getting gored during the third day of Pamplona's bull run.
Runners fall as people run in the street with fighting bulls during the running of the bulls at the San Fermin Festival in Pamplona, northern Spain, Saturday, July 9, 2022. Revellers from around the world flock to Pamplona every year for nine days of uninterrupted partying in Pamplona's famed running of the bulls festival which was suspended for the past two years because of the coronavirus pandemic.
A total of seven men — six Spaniards and one Frenchman— needed to be treated at the hospital, according to authorities. None of the injuries appeared serious. There were no gorings on the first two days of this year's festival either. Saturday’s bull run was the third of eight scheduled and took 2 1/2 minutes.
The collective adrenaline rush of the bull run is followed by general hedonism with people drinking, eating, attending concerts and partying late into the night.
