El Departamento de Justicia de EE.UU. dice que un poderoso medicamento desapareció del laboratorio cardíaco de Escondido
Aunque no admite culpabilidad, Palomar Health en el norte del condado acordó un acuerdo de $250,000 después de revelar a la Agencia Antidrogas de EE. UU. que el fentanilo, el poderoso opioide que se usa a menudo para controlar el dolor quirúrgico, fue desviado del equipo de dispensación automática en su laboratorio de cateterismo cardíaco en Escondido.
Además de aceptar pagar el monto del acuerdo, Palomar también firmó un memorando de acuerdo con la DEA que le exige, según el anuncio del DOJ, “tomar medidas adicionales para aumentar la seguridad, implementar capacitación especializada y manejar sustancias controladas adecuadamente” y de forma segura.
