The State of Palestine has applied to join South Africa's case against Israel before the International Court of Justice, saying it has a special interest in genocide taking place in its territory.
The State of Palestine has applied to join South Africa's case against Israel before the International Court of Justice, saying it has a special interest in genocide taking place in its territory. "The victims of genocide bring their own experiences of it to the interpretation of the Genocide Convention," it told the ICJ inPalestine can offer the court"factual elements concerning the genocidal acts of Israel", and wishes to participate in future hearings on provisional measures, its ambassador Ammar Hijazi told the ICJ.South Africans need to be in the know if we want to create a prosperous future.
