The renovation features exquisite onyx from Mexico and granite from Brazil, donated by Mont Surfaces , a company with a long history of supporting the arts.
"The granite from Mont Surfaces adds to the drama and beauty of this Palace bar renovation," said Jason Gay, vice president of operations for CAPA. "Mont helped us find materials that complemented and enhanced the grand finishes of the theatre lobby. We are grateful for this partnership and for their donation of time and materials."
Mont Surfaces, which has eight locations including Columbus, has been a steadfast supporter of the arts, maintaining a relationship with Playhouse Square in Cleveland. The company’s contribution to the Palace Theatre underscores its commitment to preserving and enhancing historic art venues., the owner and operator of several historic theatres in downtown Columbus, will recognize Mont’s contribution with a pre-show gathering on May 2.
CAPA’s 2024-25 season is supported by public funds from the Ohio Arts Council, as well as generous contributions from the Greater Columbus Arts Council, City of Columbus, Franklin County, and The Columbus Foundation.
