Ahead of President Duterte’s decision on the country’s new quarantine classification for next month, Malacañang is starting to see some improving signs about the health situation.According to Presidential spokesman Harry Roque, the country’s new cases of coronavirus have started to “plateau” in the past two weeks.
“Bagama’t tumataas po ang kaso ng mga bagong nagkakasakit ay iyong suma-total naman po sa nakalipas na dalawang linggo ay nagpapakita na parang nagpa-plateau po ang mga bagong kaso, at least, dito sa nakalipas na dalawang linggo. ,” he said during televised press briefing Tuesday. He said the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Infectious Disease held a meeting on Monday and discussed the health data related to the country’s quarantine status. The task force will then consult concerned mayors about the quarantine level.
