Pakistan said its air force early carried out strikes at a “nonmilitary target” in the part of Kashmir held by India
Pakistan and India clashed in the skies over the nuclear-armed rivals’ disputed border on Wednesday, with each side saying it had downed at least one warplane belonging to the other, in a sharp escalation of hostilities that ended with Pakistan capturing at least one Indian pilot.
Pakistan instigated the encounter, sending fighter jets to attack Indian positions in disputed Kashmir in retaliation for an Indian attack on Pakistan on Tuesday.
