PETALING JAYA: An announcement is expected to be made by 'Pakatan Plus' next week, with a possible decision on their prime minister's candidate expected by Tuesday (June 16).
PKR communications director Fahmi Fadzil said discussions on the prime minister candidate are still ongoing, but that it would hopefully be resolved by Tuesday.
"This meeting is a Pakatan Harapan presidential council meeting, following the meeting with Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia members that are aligned with Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Parti Warisan Sabah."There will be one more meeting, on the Pakatan Harapan and Pakatan Plus level. "Insya-Allah , there will be an announcement made in a week after the meeting that day," he said this when met by reporters after a Pakatan Harapan presidential council meeting at PKR headquarters on Friday .
Pakatan Plus top leaders had earlier held a meeting on Tuesday , and had said the meeting yielded positive development. When asked by reporters if there was discussion to dissolve Parliament, Fahmi said that was not discussed in the meeting.Those who attended the meeting include PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, DAP national organising secretary Anthony Loke, DAP deputy chairman Gobind Singh and Parti Amanah Negara deputy president Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub.
