KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 4 — Having Pakatan Harapan and Barisan Nasional join hands for coming six state elections is an advantage, Perikatan Nasional elections chief Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor said.in an interview published today.
Sanusi who is also the caretaker Kedah menteri besar said PN is still riding the “green wave” from the 15th general elections last November, and predicted this surge of support will continue to the ballot boxes on the August 12 polling day. Sanusi who is also from PAS expressed his hope that BN component parties MCA and MIC will be swept up by this surge and back PN in the elections which they opted to forego contesting.
While MCA and MIC won’t be contesting, its leaders have said they will help with campaigning efforts.
