The 20-year-old took his record to 3-0 with an impressive first round stoppage in Dublin.

Paisley MMA pro Sean Clancy Jr admits it was a strange feeling knowing thousands of fans were judging his every move in his latest fight.

The welterweight made a blistering debut at their CW161 event in Dublin earlier this month, beating his more experienced opponent Milton Afonso Cabral in the first round by submission via rear-naked-choke to convincingly take his unbeaten record to 3-0. Speaking exclusively to the Paisley Daily Express, he said: “There was definitely more pressure on me to perform than ever before.“I’ve never performed on a stage that big, in front of so many people watching, but I’ve spent my entire life working to get that chance.“I always believed I could get to this stage but I proved to myself I could do it.

Having started training with his dad at the age of just two, he has honed his skills for years and is now set to reap the rewards as his promising career progresses. “I honestly don’t have anyone I idolise as such because I want to be my own fighter. I’ve admired other fighters’ work, but I want to be known for who I am and what I can do.
