Paige Spiranac Takes NASCAR By Storm At Daytona International Speedway As Golfer Named Pace Car Rider

Paige Spiranac took on the role of honorary pace car rider at NASCAR's Coke Zero Sugar 400.

When Paige Spiranac, usually seen wielding golf clubs on lush greens, attended the NASCAR Coke Zero Sugar 400 event this past Saturday night at Daytona International Speedway.To celebrate her being at the race, she was given a role that many would be incredibly jealous of: honorary pace car rider.Joining Spiranac at the weekend of racing were American Olympians Bobby Finke, appointed as the official starter, and Parker Valby.

'To hear the cars as they come flying by me right now - Oh my god!'The race was as tense as we'd want it, with Harrison Burton taking the win - his first in the NASCAR Cup Series - after a huge mistake from Kyle Busch saw him lose his lead.'It's just frustrating. We've led races here at Daytona going into the last restart and haven't been able to pull off a victory,' he admitted to Dustin Long of NBC Sports.
