KUANTAN: Pahang government has announced an additional nine initiatives to assist those affected by the movement control order (MCO).
said 1,500 bags of rice would be given out to local leaders in each of the 14 parliamentary constituencies in the state."In addition, a RM100 cash aid, plus essential items worth RM50, will be distributed to 426 people under the Taman Negara nature tour guide, ordinary tour guide and tourist boat operator categories.Another batch of essential items worth RM50 would be handed out to 3,500 heads of household under the Ziarah Prihatin programme.
Wan Rosdy said in areas where movement has been further restricted and difficult to get food supplies, a RM200 worth of essential items would be given to 2,200 heads of household. E-hailing micro-entrepreneurs in Kuantan, who had been badly hit by the MCO, will receive RM30,000 in aid."With the latest initiatives, combined with the 13 initiatives in the first and second phase, the total allocated amounted to RM21.404mil and benefiting 136,074 recipients," he said.
He also announced a RM500 advance payment to 1,027 imams as part of the RM1,000 one-off special payment tabled in the 2020 state budget.
