(Reuters) - The increasingly packed soccer calendar has left some players with as little as 12% of the year to rest, which is equivalent to less than one day off per week, global players' union FIFPRO report said.
PETALING JAYA: The Crown Prince of Pahang has called on the police to immediately conduct a fair and transparent probe into allegations that a member of the state's royal family was involved in an attack on a construction worker in Kuantan.
"I urge the police to conduct a full investigation immediately, transparently and fairly, and without compromise so that justice can be upheld. Tengku Hassanal was responding to a report on a news portal, which quoted construction worker Alias Awang, 44, as accusing a Pahang royal of being involved in the attack on June 6, during which he was stabbed and shot at.
Meanwhile, Pahang police chief Comm Datuk Seri Yahaya Othman said the investigation papers into the incident are being completed and will be sent to the public prosecutor soon.
