State police chief Datuk Abdul Jalil Hassan said political parties, NGOs and the public should not be part of any unlawful gatherings, organised either to pledge support or protest over the latest development of the crisis.

On Friday, Indera Mahkota PKR division had demanded Indera Mahkota Member of Parliament Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah to quit his parliamentary seat. Meanwhile, Jalil said the people should also avoid posting sensitive remarks related to politics and other related matters on social media as they could face charges under the Sedition Act 1948.
