Although the Padres’ offense isn’t too consistent so far, this feels like a perfect opportunity to hit around Gallen.Since I’m focusing on Gallen to get tagged, I’ll also pinpoint a pair of Padres hitters in my SGP. We’ll start with. The veteran is batting just .239, but he’s cashed the Over in hits in four of his last five contests. He has at least one hit in three consecutive appearances. Cronenworth is no stranger to facing Gallen. He’s 7-for-24 lifetime with three doubles and a home run. Cronenworth is hitting .258 versus righties compared to just .195 against left-handers, and he sees the ball a mile better in night games, batting .275., he’s not playing like his usual offensive self. Bogaerts is batting only .236 with a mere three homers. But, he has four hits across the last three games and cashed the Over in hits in two of his last three appearances. Although Bogaerts was 0-for-4 in the series opener on Friday, I’m expecting him to register a hit tonight. The veteran is 3-for-11 lifetime versus Gallen and he had one hit per game in five outings against the Diamondbacks last season.
