The San Diego Padres excel in in-game communication and scouting, giving them a competitive edge, according to veteran outfielder David Peralta, who has played for both teams.
This is particularly noticeable when a player strikes out and gives the on-deck batter a quick scouting report on the opposing pitcher. While many teams employ this technique, the Padres seem to excel at it, according toPeralta recently explained to the San Diego Union-Tribune.
Having played for the Dodgers, Arizona Diamondbacks, and Tampa Bay Rays, Peralta believes the Padres are "far more" committed to sharing information than any other team he's been on.
