Veteran starts at shortstop as Ha-Seong Kim remains without a timetable

Bogaerts previously said he did not want to move back to shortstop, but at the time the Padres were anticipating a short-term absence for Kim.Solano is hitting .272/.318/.376 in 55 starts and .387/.
The 38-year-old veteran threw 63 pitches and allowed three runs in 2⅔ innings on Sept. 4, his first start since May 29 . Darvish struck out four, walked two and allowed one home run among four hits. He has a 3.57 ERA over 15 career starts against the Mariners and allowed only an unearned run in six innings in last start against Seattle .The 2019 first-rounder has a 5.70 ERA over his last seven starts but struck out nine over six innings of two-run ball last week in Oakland.
