They are 3½ games behind the Dodgers in the NL West. “I don’t know how different we’re gonna be,” veteran reliever Craig Stammen said. “We’re going to have a few different players, but we’re still gonna be built around starting pitching and defense. That’s where we’re going to hang our hats, and hopefully it lasts all the way through the season.”
