Boston Emergency Medical Services said multiple units were responding to Northeastern University for a reported explosion.
First responders had blocked off Leon Street Tuesday evening after a package explosion injured one person at Northeastern University. First responders were responding to a potential package that had exploded Tuesday evening at Northeastern University in Boston, according to a spokesperson for Northeastern University.
The building was evacuated and a notification was sent to the Boston campus at 7:55 p.m. “urging people to avoid the area,” Nargi said. “One patient treated and transported by BLS ambulance to an area hospital. No additional information available at this time,”A Boston Police Department spokesperson said a command unit was on scene establishing what had occurred and a bomb squad was clearing and investigating a building on the street.
