An explosive device was reported under a parked vehicle Sunday night on Beach Boulevard.
PACIFICA – Authorities over the weekend investigated a bogus bomb threat in Pacifica.
At 6:45 p.m. Sunday, the Pacifica Police Department received a call from a person claiming to have placed an explosive device under a vehicle parked on the 2300 block of Beach Boulevard. Police said the person provided a description of the vehicle and said the vehicle had been specifically targeted.While waiting for the bomb squad to arrive, officers were approached by a person who claimed to be associated with the vehicle.
The bomb squad arrived around 9:30 p.m., and ultimately determined there was no explosive device in or around the vehicle. Around 11 p.m., the area was reopened to traffic and residents were notified.
