Forecasters said temperatures could hit 60 on Thursday.

Up to 40 mph winds and rain storms are in the forecast this week as central Pennsylvania’s temperatures steadily rise above freezing, forecasters said. Tuesday is supposed to be sunny with mid 30-degree highs, which is nowhere close to the warmest day of the week, according to theForecasters said temperatures could reach nearly 50 Wednesday, alongside cloudy skies and up to 30 mph winds.

Then temperatures could peak near 60 Thursday, forecasters said. However, rain is likely after 1 p.m., as well as a chance of nearly 40 mph winds. The rain will clear Friday as temperatures drop back into the low 40s, forecasters said. Early weekend forecasts call for sunny skies and mid 40-degree highs.Cloudy, with a high near 48.Low around 34.
