WILLIAMSPORT – A Lycoming County man accused of threatening to use his belt to whip a 6-year-old special education student had all the required clearances to work with children despite having a criminal record. That was revealed about Reginald E. Gallman by Merakey, a Lafayette Hill-based agency that assigned him as a behavior health therapist for the child.

Not only did he have the required clearances but had been working with children since 2002 without incident, said Merakey spokesman Trish Pisauro. “We did our due diligence,” she said. Note to readers: if you purchase something through one of our affiliate links we may earn a commission.
