The 29-year-old was later arrested in Montgomery County, records show.
Christopher Michael Rodriguez, of the 1400 block of Thompson Avenue and who is in custody in Montgomery County, was also charged Thursday in District Judge Roy Manwaring II’s court with two counts of aggravated assault and one count of possession of a weapon, records show.
Just after 6:30 a.m., police were notified by the Montgomery County communication center that Rodriguez was using a phone to threaten to harm “his significant other and her family” in that county, court papers say. “During this telephone call, Limerick Township police also heard Christopher Rodriguez state that he shot his friend in Bethlehem” earlier that morning, court papers say.
Portions of the shooting were captured on surveillance video in the 600 block of Linden Street in Bethlehem, police said. A dark vehicle similar to the Honda could be seen and investigators determined the gunfire happened near Linden and East Raspberry streets, court papers say.
