Authorities seized over P4 billion worth of suspected shabu hidden inside tea bags in Naguilian Road, Baguio City, according to John Consulta’s “Balitanghali” report on Wednesday.
Police seized around 570 kilograms of shabu with an estimated value of P4 billion during the operation in Purok 4, Barangay Irisan, Naguilian Road, Baguio City.According to authorities, the seized drugs came from other countries and transported to the Philippines.
Major General Jonnel Estomo, Philippine National Police deputy chief for operations, said the seized illegal drug was initially monitored in the National Capital Region. It, however, was transported to another area.Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency director general Moro Lazo said the operation was a big part of the supply reduction efforts of the government.Authorities are also examining the vehicle used to transport the seized illegal drugs.
