Anti-narcotics operatives arrested a couple who yielded 300 grams of shabu worth P2,040,000 during a buy-bust operation at Purok San Roque 1, Barangay Handumanan here on Saturday, March 18.
Operatives of the City Drug Enforcement Unit arrested Maria Elirica Celis, 39, and her live-in partner Carlo Purillo, 36. The two suspects are residents of Barangay Handumanan.
Both are high value individuals who are being investigated for their possible link to a bigger drug group, considering the volume of the drugs recovered from them, according to the police. In a media interview, CDEU head Capt. Joven Mogato said Purillo was jailed for a drug offense in 2018 but was released two years later through plea bargaining.related stories
