The Nanny Is Becoming a Musical
is in development. Series creators Fran Drescher and Peter Marc Jacobson will write the musical's book.Rachel Bloom and Adam Schlesinger—will write the score. Bloom, also a Golden Globe winner, will pen the lyrics. Producers Brian Zeilinger and Scott Zeilinger Bloom released her thoughts about the personal project in a statement:was a fundamental part of my childhood, because it was the first time I saw an openly Jewish female protagonist on television.
