Up to 30 people are stranded on the shores of Lough Neagh following the discovery of a suspicious object.
Police have asked people to avoid Oxford Island as cordons are currently in place and disruption is likely for those already on the island.Susan Kyle is one of those people stranded on the island and said everyone is "trying to stay calm". Speaking to BBC's Evening Extra programme, Ms Kyle said she had arrived to the island with her two children on Wednesday to feed the ducks."A lady who was walking passed said they found a grenade."Ms Kyle said there are about 30 people stranded on the island with them and an emergency boat is being brought to take them off the island.
She added some people stranded are in need of supplies and medicine that the police are getting for them, "There are some people here who need things, police are away to get baby supplies for one couple who are also trapped and some needing medication, they are getting them.""We are all just trying to stay calm and we know we are safe - we are quite a distance from it but what a lovely place to be stranded."
