Eleven alive in Stranger Things series finale
The Stranger Things cast bids goodbye to the show and the audience. Stranger Things launched the careers of most of its young cast when it premiered in 2016, also becoming a driving force in the rise of the streaming era.
Other stars have come and gone, including acting veterans who experienced a new wave of fame thanks to the show, but the core group has remained the same throughout. The Stranger Things series finale had a theatrical release yesterday, December 31, 2025, coinciding with its release on Netflix. Audiences are decidedly split on the Stranger Things finale, but there was perhaps no escaping such a strong reaction when the team was challenged with wrapping up a game-changing cultural phenomenon that has been going on for nearly a decade. The actors who got their big break with Stranger Things have been pursuing other projects as the show went on, with Millie Bobby Brown and Finn Wolfhard in particular showing up in several high-profile movies. But following the finale's release, the actors have posted heartfelt messages to Instagram. Noah Schnapp kept it simple, captioning his post"The end:)," while sharing a sweet photo of him with Wolfhard as well as Sadie Sink, Caleb McLaughlin, and Gaten Matarazzo: Via McLaughlin's account, the group that portrays the four main boys shared a cute video of them all together, captioned with a thank you directed at everyone who made the show possible:"Thank you for the immense love and support throughout the years. We love you all." Gabriella Pizzolo, who plays recurring character Suzie Bingham, posted a longer note with a photo"taken the first time on set for Stranger Things." Pizzolo reflects that"many people are experiencing a wide range of emotions as this show closes," but says that part of herself"is still there in that moment, on that first day, anticipating whatever adventures came next": Jamie Campbell Bower, who joined the show in season 4 to play its terrifying villain, commented on X that"It's been a pleasure to serve x": Meanwhile, an audience member shared a video of Brett Gelman showing up in person at a screening of the finale to thank everyone in attendance: And Millie Bobby Brown, arguably the biggest star to come from Stranger Things, bid farewell by saying"over and out": 586 9.1/10 8/10 Stranger Things 10 stars 9 stars 8 stars 7 stars 6 stars 5 stars 4 stars 3 stars 2 stars 1 star Like Follow Followed TV-14 Drama Mystery Horror Science Fiction Release Date 2016 - 2025-00-00 Network Netflix Showrunner Matt Duffer, Ross Duffer Directors Matt Duffer, Ross Duffer, Andrew Stanton, Frank Darabont, Nimród Antal, Uta Briesewitz Writers Kate Trefry, Jessie Nickson-Lopez, Jessica Mecklenburg, Alison Tatlock 7 Images Close Cast See All
