BREAKING: Over-75s TV licence fee pushed back amid coronavirus pandemic
The BBC has decided to push back the date at which over-75s will have to start paying for TV licences amid the coronavirus crisis.
Today, the BBC and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport issued a joint statement confirming that over-75s will now start paying in August instead. BBC Chairman, Sir David Clementi said: ‘The BBC board has decided to delay changes to over 75s licence fees. We are in exceptional circumstances.
