Over 6,000 girls' pajama sets have been recalled in the U.S. due to violations of federal flammability regulations for children's sleepwear. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a notice on January 30th, stating that the recalled pajama sets were sold on Amazon last year. The CPSC emphasized that these pajamas pose a risk of burn injuries to children. The recall involves Cozchique, Tebbis, and Beeziac-branded girls' pajamas sold in sizes 4T, 5T, 6, 8, 10, 12, and 14.
These two-piece shirt and shorts sets were available in six different prints, including Tebbis 'Sleepy Panda,' Cozchique 'Pink & Gray Sloth,' 'Stripe Easter Bunny,' and 'Cherry,' as well as Beeziac 'Panda & Donut' and 'Blue Avocado.' The label on the shorts provides details such as size, fabric content (65% cotton and 35% polyester), washing instructions, and the manufacturing origin ('Made in China'). A second sewn-on label includes the batch ID, manufacture date, and location. Affected units bear the batch numbers 20240415TTL, 20240501TTL, or 20240509TTL. The pajama set's hang tags display the brand name: Cozchique, Tebbis, or Beeziac. The recalled pajamas were sold exclusively on Amazon between May and September 2024, priced between $12 and $17. Tupop E-Commerce Co., Ltd., based in China, manufactured and distributed the product. Approximately 6,050 girls' pajama sets have been recalled in the U.S. Both Tupop and Amazon are actively contacting all known purchasers directly. The CPSC urges consumers to immediately remove the recalled pajamas from children's reach, discontinue their use, and reach out to Tupop for a full refund. Consumers are advised to destroy the garments by cutting them in half and discarding them properly. They must then email the recalling firm, Tupop, at [email protected], along with a photo of the destroyed garments, to receive their full refund
