LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — Six juveniles are facing multiple charges for allegedly opening a stable containing 52 bulls in Lancaster County. , on May 20 at 10:13 p.m., officers were called to the 100 block of East Franklin Street for an animal complaint. The caller reported that 50 bulls were running loose in the area. They stated that the bulls had been let out of the New Holland Sales Stables.
At the scene, officers found bulls on the railroad tracks behind the New Holland Apartments as well as along the first block of S. Custer Ave. Employees from the New Holland Sales Stables were quickly notified and, with their assistance along with members of the community, all the bulls were returned to the holding pen at the sales stable.
It was later learned that 52 bulls had been released and a vehicle was damaged by a bull while it was loose on S. Custer Ave. Officers began an investigation into how the bulls were released from the holding pen. Surveillance video was obtained and multiple people were interviewed. After consulting with the Lancaster County District Attorney's Office, the six juveniles were charged with risking catastrophe, criminal conspiracy to risk catastrophe, theft by unlawful taking or disposition, criminal mischief, agriculture trespassing and criminal conspiracy to commit agriculture trespassing.
