TACLOBAN CITY — At least 472 passengers were stranded in the two ports of Northern Samar on Tuesday amid the threat of Tropical Depression Amang.

Of the stranded passengers, 356 were in the port of Balwhartico, while the rest were in the port of Dapdap.Aside from Northern Samar, the Philippine Coast Guard also issued a no-sailing policy in Eastern Samar, Samar, and Biliran to avoid untoward incidents due to the tropical depression.
