PUTRAJAYA: Authorities have deported more than 3,000 illegal immigrants and are planning to send more home in the coming days, says Datuk Seri ismail Sabri Yaakob.
The Senior Minister said that more than 2,500 undocumented Indonesians caught in Peninsular Malaysia had been deported, while in Sabah, 672 illegal immigrants from the same country were sent home.
“The process of sending back 5,280 illegals from the Philippines will begin on June 30, ” he said on Friday . On Ops Benteng, Ismail Sabri said that six foreign nationals were stopped at road blocks for Immigration offences.
