The Two Years of Madani Government Programme (2TM) and the 2024 National Convention on Public Service Reform drew a large crowd in Kuala Lumpur. Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim also visited the event and interacted with the attendees.
KUALA LUMPUR : More than 200,000 visitors attended the Two Years of Madani Government Programme (2TM) and the 2024 National Convention on Public Service Reform at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) that kicked off on Friday (Nov 22). In a statement, the Performance Acceleration Coordination Unit (Pacu) said that the programme, held from 9am to 6pm, drew a total of 85,217 visitors on Friday.
'As of 6pm, the total number of visitors today has reached 117,912, bringing the overall total to 203,129 visitors over the first two days of the programme,' Pacu said in a statement Saturday (Nov 23). It was reported that the government had aimed for over 230,000 visitors to attend the event, which will end Sunday (Nov 24). Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim who attended the event on Saturday, visited several booths and interacted with the visitors. During a town hall session, Anwar shared the achievements and initiatives of the Madani government under his leadership. Among the highlights of the event, themed'Madani di Hati, Rakyat Disantuni', was the offer of discounts of up to 60% on selected traffic summonses from the Royal Malaysia Police, as well as helmet exchanges and the Madani Rahmah Sale, offering essential items at prices lower than the market rate. - Bernam
