More than 2,400 residents in Baybay City, Leyte, who were affected by Tropical Storm Agaton, received help from GMA Kapuso Foundation.

According to “24 Oras” Tuesday, many of them lost not only their homes and possessions, but also their loved ones.“Gabi pa lang ay malakas na ang ulan hanggang sa narinig na lang naming ang malakas na ingay dala ng paggalaw ng lupa,” he said. “Hindi namin inakala na ang ingay na ’yun ay landslide na pala.”Edgardo and his wife were among the residents in four affected barangays who received relief goods from GMA Kapuso Foundation.

According to Col. Noel A. Vestuir, brigadier commander of 802nd Brigade, the relief distribution is a big help to the residents who might need to stay longer at the evacuation centers.
