Over 12,000 motorists have been apprehended during the dry run of the exclusive motorcycle lane along Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said on Sunday, March 19.
The designated motorcycle lane is located on the third lane from the sidewalk.
Based on the MMDA data, the first day of the dry run on March 9 yielded 337 violators, 276 of them are motorcycle riders while 61 are private motorists. During the duration of the first 10-day dry run, the MMDA said its enforcers apprehended a total of 12,370 violators—9,439 were private motorists while the rest were motorcycle riders.
