A 14-storey tower block was evacuated after a burst pipe caused a "waterfall" to pour into the building.
Krishna said it's not the first time a leak has occurred in the building, with part of the ceiling collapsing in the corridor outside her flat earlier that week. Krishna said she contacted her landlord, who made Xenia Estates aware of the issue, and she was told a contractor would be sent out to assess this.
"A few minutes later, the water was coming from the floor, and then a few minutes after that we started to have a hole in the wall. Then all the water was coming out from that hole." He decided to stay put for the night, before booking into a Travelodge on Sunday. Tony told the ECHO: "I noticed the smoke alarms were not working and there were no emergency lights on the stairs.
