Bacolod City's Comprehensive Health Program (BacCHP) has provided hospitalization assistance to over 10,000 residents as of November. The program, launched in May 2022, aims to make healthcare more accessible for city residents.
At least 10,758 residents of Bacolod City have benefited from hospitalization assistance under the Bacolod City Comprehensive Health Program (BacCHP) as of November this year. The beneficiaries are part of the 267,319 registered members of the program, with around 71,887 issued with family health cards. Since the program's launch on May 1 last year, over PHP100 million has been allocated for hospitalization assistance.
Recently, the city government received an additional PHP50 million from the Department of Health to address rising healthcare costs. This funding will be directly channeled to the seven accredited hospitals partnered with the BacCHP. The program provides PHP15,000 for each health card holder and covers hospital bills for their dependents. Bacolod City's partner medical facilities include the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital, Bacolod Queen of Mercy Hospital, South Bacolod General Hospital and Medical Center, Dr. Pablo O. Torre Memorial Hospital, Bacolod Adventist Medical Center, The Doctor's Hospital, and Metro Bacolod Hospital and Medical Center. Private hospitals participating in the BacCHP do not require deposits or down payments from members. Patients are also advised to seek assistance from national government agencies for additional costs beyond BacCHP and PhilHealth coverage
