KOTA KINABALU: A total of 1,531 business premises have registered to implement the Menu Rahmah initiative nationwide as of yesterday and the number is expected to increase further, says Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub.
He said out of the total, 105 food premises in Sabah had participated in the initiative including a hotel in Sandakan, which is the first hotel in the country to offer an accommodation package with Rahmah prices throughout the Ramadan month.
Salahuddin said Menu Rahmah was the government’s latest initiative that had gone viral in helping and reducing the cost of living for the people, especially those in need to get balanced meals at a price of RM5 and below. “Based on feedback from participating traders, Menu Rahmah has been a crowd-puller business model to attract customers to their premises.
