Houstonians camped out overnight in a line of cars that stretched 3 miles to get one of 1,000 free Thanksgiving meals

Nobles said his clientele has dropped drastically recently due to increasing prices for food and gas.The non-profit planned to begin its meal distribution event at 8 a.m. Saturday. By 7:30 p.m. Friday, there was already a line of cars camped out.In the early morning of November 19, 2022, cars line up for blocks outside St. John’s United Methodist Church to receive a distribution of ready-to-eat Thanksgiving meals, plus groceries and household products provided by Bread of Life, Inc.
They realized it was more convenient for their clients to use the drive-thru to receive goods, and have since kept it for their future distributions. But this one has a larger turnout than the others.
