IS there only one race and religion in this country that is under threat? According to Mahatir, Muhyiddin and Hadi Awang seemingly it is. Is there any truth in it ? You be the judge.
Judging from the campaigns in the coming State elections in Kedah, Penang, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Trengganu and Kelantan this is what Mahatir, Muhyiddin and Hadi Awang keep repeating at every opportunity just to hang on to the Malay votes. Surely these politicians must know that when you take this approach to win the Malay votes, you are doing it at the expense of all other races and all other religions in this country.
Both the PM and DPM are Malays. So is the Home Minister, Education Minister, Finance Minister and Health Minister. All the key portfolios in the Government are headed by Malays yet ex PM Muhiyiddin says that the “Allah issue shows that this Government is run by non Malays” ?. If we are not a country made up of various ethnic people in Sabah and Sarawak, if we are not a country made up of the Chinese, Indians, Sikhs, Orang Asli and Eurasians amongst others, then where is our identity as Malaysians in the context of this being a multiracial country?Were not our forefathers born in this country? Were not our forefathers fighting alongside the Malays when this country was invaded by the Japanese during World war 2? And didn’t our forefathers stand alongside the Malays...
