With his first year on campus nearing completion, there is one piece still missing for OSU President Ted Carter’s Buckeye experience. He has yet to personally witness Ohio State versus“That type of intensity, rivalry is just what makes being on campus so exciting and fun,” said Ted Crater, President of The Ohio State University. “People live for this. I’m really happy that my first visit to THE game is at home this season. It’s going to be an exceptional one.
Exceptional is how he describes the football team this year. He’s seen the focus of the Buckeyes and Coach Ryan Day – up close and personal. “I’ve had the privilege of being with Coach Day and our football team, and I was with them from the hotel all the way to the end at the Penn State game,” said Carter. “I was on the sidelines with them during the goal line stand and the running of the ball, holding on to the ball for the last five minutes. I would just tell you - I’ve seen a level of intensity and professionalism that makes me believe we are well coached, and we are prepared.
“Victory, simple,” he says. “I think we’re a better team this year. We’re better prepared. We’re at home. Our fans are going to be the X factor in that game. I’m excited to reverse a three-year trend, and that victory is gonna feel very sweet.”
