Glenn Close has withdrawn from tonight's Oscars
Oscars presenter Glenn Close has been forced to withdraw from the ceremony with just hours to go, after testing positive for Covid-19.
The virus also heavily impacted the Critics Choice awards in January with Colin Farrell, Brendan Gleeson, Michelle Pfeiffer and Jamie Lee Curtis all withdrawing after testing positive. Michelle Yeoh could be one of the many notable winners after she was nominated for best actress for her role in Everything Everywhere All at Once.
Other hopefuls include Bill Nighy for Living, in his first Oscar nomination. Nighy is one of only two UK performers to receive a nod in the acting categories this year.Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert are jointly nominated in this category for Everything Everywhere All at Once.
