Tom Hanks, the Oscar-winning actor best known for movies including 'Forrest Gump' and 'Saving Private Ryan,'
Oscar-winning actor Tom Hanks publicly criticized Oakland Athletics owner John Fisher and Major League Baseball for not finding a solution to keeping the A's in Oakland after years of failed stadium negotiations with the city. Hanks was born in Concord, California, located about 25 minutes northeast of Oakland, which has been the A's home since 1968.
“How in the world does Major League Baseball turn inside-out one of the most storied franchises in the history of the game?,” he added. “I don’t blame that loss on the city managers of Oakland, nor the taxpayers of Alameda County. The owners and baseball blew the lead,” he added.
