Academy Award attendees will be gifted ‘goodie bags’ valued at $US120,000, with contents ranging from the $400 Oscars statue itself to $60,000 worth of cosmetics and a slice of land in Australia.
The unofficial Oscars bag backed by the Australian government awards Hollywood’s elite with one square metre of land in the Queensland outback.
Founder of Believe Advertising and PR Adrian Falk told Sky News Australia the bag holds pieces of Australia. “Finalists will be gifted a few square metres of Australia which may be enough for Steven Spielberg to throw a few shrimp on the barbie,” he said.
