Orlando Pirates' new head coach José Riveiro deserves a fair chance says club legend Steve LekoeleaThe 46-year-old Spaniard has been the subject of debate since joining Pirates in June on a three-year deal. He joins with no major silverware to his name in the top-flight but did enjoy aHe takes over from Mandla Ncikazi and Fadlu Davids who held the helm as co-coaches after the departure of German Josef Zinnbauer last year.
José Riveiro meanwhile will get his first competitive test on 6 August when the Buccaneers welcome Swallows to Orlando Stadium in Soweto for the first weekend of 2022/23 DStv Premiership campaign. So far, the Buccaneers have played a pre-season friendly against Cape Town City that ended in a 2-1 defeat for the Buccaneers.
