Orlando Pirates latest transfer news is here, as they target an exciting African prodigy. Find out the latest!
Orlando Pirates latest target has been revealed, according toPirates are intensifying their search for attacking talent, with reports suggesting their focus has shifted to Democratic Republic of Congo striker Tshite Mweshi. Mweshi recently became a free agent after his contract expired with Prison Leopards in the Zambia Super League.
Last season, Mweshi showcased his skills while on loan at Zanaco FC, catching the eye of Pirates’ scouts who have been closely monitoring his performances. This interest comes as Pirates seek to bolster their attacking options following the departure of key players from their squad.Sources close to the situation in both Zambia and South Africa have confirmed Orlando Pirates’ interest in Mweshi. “They are still looking at finding a striker after parting ways with two strikers.
“I can’t say how far the talks have gone regarding his coming to South Africa. But the interest has been there for some time now. He is a very good striker and it will all depend on the talks between the involved parties as well,” the source added.According to another insider, Orlando Pirates’ pursuit of Mweshi comes after missing out on two other targets, including Andy Boyeli from Power Dynamos and Stephane Aziz Ki from Yanga SC.
Confirming the interest from South Africa, Mweshi’s representative, Mulife Sitali, acknowledged the discussions. But maintained discretion about the specific club involved. “Yes, there is interest in the player from South Africa but at the moment I am not at liberty to mention the team because that’s not up to me. But what I can tell you is that there is interest,” Sitali affirmed.
As the transfer window progresses, Orlando Pirates’ pursuit of Tshite Mweshi signifies a critical move to strengthen their offensive capabilities for the upcoming season. With negotiations underway and optimism surrounding the potential deal, Pirates’ fans eagerly await to see if Mweshi will be the solution to their attacking needs.
